Beyond The Barriers

We all behold an intangible and limitless essence in us that has greater worth than our physical form.   We are more than a combination of thoughts and deeds restricted by our physical existence. People have rightly asserted that we are all spiritual beings experiencing a human existence. Our bodies have their limitations, but our souls and minds have no boundaries, no barriers. Our true identity is the limitless essence we hold in ourselves. Realizing oneself is the first step in releasing a spiritual being's true potential. Having said that, rising above the barriers levied by the body and limited mindsets can only offer a soulful and blissful experience to one and all.

The process of rising above the body begins from within. It is a journey that goes from inward to outward. It's akin to a droplet losing its identity and uniting with the vast ocean. The drop accomplished its real goal before evaporation.

I become what I practice, and the observer becomes what they observe. Enhance the mindset beyond boundaries like caste, color, creed, religion, age, and others.

“Elevate yourself through the power of your mind, and not degrade yourself, for the mind can be the friend and also the enemy of the self.”

The path to elevating the human mind starts with a narrow-focused mindset and gradually broadens to wider perspectives. The true characteristics of our mind are infinite. As soon as we begin to recognize the true attributes of our mind, it continues to expand.  According to scripture, our minds operate on four levels.

• Mana: controlled by emotions.

• Wisdom, also known as "Vivek.".

• Ego: a self-proclaimed identity.

• Chitta: referred to as awareness.

To elevate the mind from limited to limitless, we must engage our wisdom to take the driving seat and enrich ourselves; in other words, it is our wisdom and experience that uplift and expand our abilities. 

We must broaden our mental horizons beyond our immediate constraints by expanding the boundaries from a restricted to a boundless scale. Unless the mind extends beyond its self-imposed limitations and attains its real state, it remains wrapped in illusion. Our minds work very similarly to a fish's dimensions, which are always directly proportional to its surroundings. A fish naturally attains its optimal size when relocated from a tiny pond to a big ocean or river. Hence, narrowing the mind's identity to a limited aspect would limit its true potential. Let the mind experience infinite possibilities by embracing its true identity.

As the second line of the same shloka says, "The mind can be the friend and also the enemy of the self." Since the mind's true essence is formless and boundless, it forms an unwavering friendship with God , who also possesses these attributes. When the mind maintains its connection with God, it experiences bliss and peace; this is when our mind becomes a friend to ourselves. Conversely, when the mind fails to maintain connection or does not align with the qualities of its true companion, it descends into narrowmindedness, which turns it into its enemy, causing restlessness, anxiety, and anger. A mind that achieves awareness can expand its perspective from the limited to the limitless, breaking through the barriers of illusions.

The soul and the super soul share identical characteristics, so it is necessary to hold onto the true attributes of the super soul to experience and reside in a state of eternal bliss.

Resonating with a super soul's boundless qualities transforms it from restricted to infinite, allowing it to experience endless delight and profound fulfillment. This would stir up greater emotions of love, a sense that every human soul holds the potential for divinity, a feeling that there are no enemies, only friends and loved ones. 

In conclusion, our mind can rise above finite to infinite possibilities if aligned with its real companion. Let us cultivate feelings of love for all people by nourishing our minds with wisdom, and ensure everyone's well-being and make every effort locally to contribute to the global spread of love and happiness.
